Runa, The Smol One

- Description
- Runa is, in a word, "smol". It's not that she's especially tiny, standing 5'4"/162.5cm (not counting the large fox ears on her head) and with notable curves to her otherwise-slender form. It's that her presence, her aura, her vibe, or whatever you want to call it, positively radiates "smolness". From the perpetually excited and curious expression on her cute face, to her constant wiggling and the energetic movements of her fluffy fox tail, and even just the way she sits or stands (or snuggles), it all exudes a feeling of "this creature is adorable and must be protecc". This feeling is sometimes damaged, however, by the occasional twisting of shadows around her, or the way black motes will sometimes dance across the sclera of her bright, blue, cat-like eyes...
More recently, black streaks have appeared in her vibrant pink hair. A fashion choice, maybe? - Dominance

- ...Haruna would need power. For she had been left shattered from the fight before her imprisonment, fragments scattered through the forests and mountains, merging with the natural world. And finding them was proving... difficult.
This would not do.
But there were too many places to look, too much ground to cover. How could she...
...wait. She was being a fool. Others had offered to help her, and while they couldn't, she could still enlist aid.
She stood at the shrine, drawing on its power, gathering focus. There, she took a piece of herself, and ever so delicately... pulled it off. A thread still remained, a connection, but she carefully thinned that until it was almost nothing. She was not making a puppet on strings. She was making an autonomous, functional being.
It didn't need to be her, though. Not entirely. In fact, better that it wasn't... too much conflict then, even if the hierarchy was set in stone. She would take parts of herself and give them away. Perhaps she could even be rid of some things for a time, such as the childish nature she pushed down, that part of her that always felt like the "youngest sister," for it had no place in her now that she was also the head of the clan. She must be poised and proud, the rock amidst the storm, the beacon others could follow. Silliness and impulsiveness, she could do without. And so she took those things, and others, and pushed them into her creation.
...only she was not giving, but sharing. And there were more of those traits within her than she realized.
The result was... mixed. It was her, but smaller, cuter, lively and eager... and a bit dumber, it seemed. Or maybe it was just how she prioritized its traits that had left it scatterbrained. The fact that no amount of being a klutz would damage it likely added to this, as it quickly proved to be reckless as it pushed forward almost unstoppably.
It would do, though.

The Smol One arrives! \o/
Runa started out a silly idea: make a second Haruna, except make her childish and adorable instead of grand and seductive.
This quickly got out of hand <_<
First, my brain decided to come up with all manner of adorable nonsense for her. Capitalist schemes (she gets paid in headpats and kisses), wild antics (she has crashed through a *lot* of walls), bizarre dialogue... she was basically a cartoon character.
Second, I ended up making her my builder character. See, she was supposed to help Haruna with labor, which included building her shrine (which I swore I'd have one day). So naturally, it made sense she'd build *other* things...
...which led to her meeting strange creatures from other dimensions and helping *them* out.
And *then* that world ended, and her progenitor - whom she still had a connection with - along with it. Leading to Runa's new eldritch friends having to save her... by giving her a *new* anchor.
And of course, it was others close to her, those she loved, who insisted she was her own person, not just Haruna 2. And it was one of those loved ones that named her, "Runa."
She's come a long fucking way through all of that, evolving from a silly concept to a complex character with quite a few secrets...
...but don't let that make you think she isn't still a fucking gremlin. If I'm on Runa, it's about 90% of the time for snuggles and/or silliness. She *can* do scenes, and has quite the variety of abilities to use if so, but generally she needs to know someone well enough to actually think of them that way. And that's *if* people can see through her goofy exterior. (Hence both the "Situational" interests!)

For those who don't know me, I'm in my late 30s, AuDHD, an aspiring writer, and a big ol' geek. I'm also a builder, coder, and tailor for the MUSH! The main things I work on are the website and webclient, so I'm the person to go to if you have any issues with either of those (though ideally you should put them in the bug-report forum on the Discord server).
As a MUSH player, I tend to lean towards more involved character development and ongoing storylines. My characters pretty much always have something going on beneath the surface, and I *love* when people pick up on the hints I drop and dig into things~ This does mean my focus is less on kinky scenes, but I do plenty of those, too! I just tend to prefer scenes with people who have been getting involved with my characters beyond what those characters can do kink-wise.
On domming vs subbing: I'm generally more willing to dom new people than sub at this point, mainly because I have too much love and pride invested in my characters to subject them to things I would otherwise enjoy. I need to know that my *character* would be okay with it before I can let myself put them in that position, even with CNC things. This means I generally only sub on specific characters, in specific situations, and/or to people I already know fairly well, and even then I have to vibe with the dom's gimmick. It all comes down to feelings about individual situations in the end, sooo... ask? Worst I'll tell you is "no thanks" <3
When it comes to OOC hypnosis, I'm even more reserved: I'll tease plenty, and sometimes it's fun to act subby, but these days I don't really engage with it unless it's an established dynamic or a particularly close friend. This goes for domming *or* subbing. I'm here for the RP, so let's try to keep things in-character, 'kay~? ^_^
